We want all UIUC students, no matter the amount of prior knowledge or financial status, to achieve financial freedom.

Here at Budget Buddy, we have some Goals & Objectives:

200 DOWNLOADS & SIGNUPS

Our ultimate goal is for 200 current University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students to download the Albert: Budgeting and Banking App and create an account. We would like to have reached this goal by the end of the Spring 2025 Semester.

INCREASE SELF-EFFICACY & BEHAVIORAL NORMS

Our objective is to create a favorable behavioral norm and increase self-efficacy towards opening and maintain a budget.

INCREASE FINANCIAL LITERACY

We want students to understand key to financial freedom begins with a budget. We want student to leave the University of Illinois feeling confident in their ability to track expenses and understand that everyone does it. It's rewarding!

What is Albert?

Albert is a financial services app. It’s not a bank, but it offers banking services through FDIC-insured Sutton Bank. The aim is to help Americans reach financial stability. Albert has no monthly fees. Along with banking, the app has savings, budgeting and investing services. We will be using their free budgeting feature!
